Some of these responses :fail: If you think her vocal range hasn't diminished, you're deluded. I'm just glad she has acting to fall back on because if she keeps smoking like she does, her singing career is down the toilet.

Such a great fan response here.

Comparing 2015 Oscars to 2019 Oscars, yes

A single performance equals vocally declining :koons:

You need to post video evidence if you’re going to make a statement like that

Nah, I don't think so. Her voice cracked during Shallow at the Oscars and at the Grammys, but I think she is living a pretty intense moment in her career and she has a lot of pressure on (and let's not act like Shallow is an easy song to sing lol), I feel she hasn't really had a moment to relax since ASIB was released, due to the unexpected massive success of the film,  all the award shows, Shallow, the residency, LG6... She must be exhausted, but I hope right now she is taking her time to relax and prepare her voice for the next era.

BUT, I ****ing hope she stops smoking, it's driving me insane. She is going to ruin her voice if she doesn't stop,it makes me mad.

feeling so hot tamale

No. Didn't you hear ASIB? She's always working on her voice. I remember at the Artrave before the Sound of Music performance happened, she was showing off her new vocal ability by singing parts of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You. I think the vocal quality of some of her peers is declining because they don't work on improving apart from Kesha who could reach a whistle tone in her last album.

Even in her prime she can have some worse days. Let's wait with such a judgement till she performs next, especially something new

Voices change. Thinking of change as "decline" is unhealthy and, arguably, ageist.

Like, I get it, and sometimes it's kind of undeniable that an artist's voice was more technically powerful when they were younger...

But, at the same time, there are so many divas whose voice gains its distinctive character when it ages and loses some of its range/technical perfection. Think of Nina Simone, who supposedly lost her higher registers after she performed "Mississippi Goddamn" so many times, with its rough/raucous vocal demands. Listen to Nina's last album, A Single Woman, and you can see how even a very elderly diva can harness the age or "decline" of her voice and make it into someting unique and powerful.

 :) :)

I am excited to hear how Gaga's voice matures!!

Her voice now compared to her voice in like 2011 is 100% better, she sings in a key that is comfortable to her and rarely sounds like she forcing it which was always the case back then.

I would like it if she stopped belting as much,  sometimes her belting a chorus is very predictable and occasionally it doesn't even sound that great  (Hi PI).

Not the bore worms!

I was actually talking about this with my sister the other day, except we both think her voice has improved, and how that is really rare in a singer. Usually their voices decline with time.

I'll just leave this here...

A few nonexcellent perfomances don't mean anything

In this performance she outdid her past self
