But I've heard many propose that a solution and I personally don't like that Also ur example of wall street is a seperate thing. That money was loaned not given. It's different. Although I think a few companies didn't pay back in full tho I don't know the circumstances. And what’s with people grasping for any excuse to discredit student loan cancellation? The whole concept of the government making profits off the backs of students is insane. It’s regressive. Literally the only thing that can come out of this is a stimulus to our economy. Conservatives against any sort of social safety net or redistributive policies for working class people are so disingenuous. If we can afford 2 trillion tax cuts to the rich, we can afford this. The ultra millionaire tax only affects 75k families. A 2% annual tax on families that make more than 50 million? And some of you are against that??? You won’t even see ONE million in your lifetime. I don't have an issue with government taking over them tho (provided they have a plan to run them properly) In just saying it's either that or ur suggestion to ban profits wouldn't work No business is gonna be in business to have it's profits suddenly banned.
