Also, even visually Jones was referencing iconic Bowie or Dietrich moments so she's not super credible when she blasts gaga or rihanna for referencing her.

It's odd, too, because half the time when people complain about people being mean/not liking Gaga it's either old news from years ago and/or it's someone who is typically snarky. Like it's not as if Grace Jones was singling Gaga out to go after and is normally kind to everyone—Grace is known for acting like this towards nearly everyone. Grace has actually been more vicious towards Rihanna. It's not jealousy, it's just plain old snark. Be healthier for LM to admit that sometimes people just don't like Gaga, for legit or silly reasons, and sometimes people tend to dislike nearly everyone and that Gaga isn't this underdog being hated on by nearly everyone.

Boy George is a legend . He was one of the most influential drag singers back in the 80s and during 90s. Back then when gay and transgender people had no rights ,had no Facebook,Twitter,Instagram or YouTube...you know the ancient years ...How everyone’s here put a big Zero to other careers is unbelievable. And what happens if David Bowie didn’t like her? You get no credit as an artist if Bowie or Grace Jones don’t like you?

Also, if they read up they'll learn Grace came for FKA Twigs, Kanye, Rihanna, Gaga, Miley, Britney, Madonna, and more. People need to learn to contextualize when a person who is snarky is...snarky towards everyone...and stop making Gaga this underdog being singled out and despised. I'm kind of eye-rolly towards the "Gaga is hated on" narrative that comes up again and again because it's not always the whole story.

And she was actually mean, and not just typical snarky, towards someone called "Doris," who was doing a Vegas show or had a Vegas residency back in her memoir—at the time people thought it was Beyonce, Gaga, or possibly Rihanna (because clues fit for all of them, especially Gaga) but none of them were doing Vegas residencies at the time when her memoir was published so it was probably Britney.

Edited (I forgot that most people ended up concluding Doris was Mariah because it matched all the clues & her Vegas residency started in 2015 (most of the media forgot/ignored the Vegas part because it narrowed the field down to just a few people OR they were wanting clicks from the Navy, Beyhive, and LM).

She is only famous for her fashion and her cover of La Vie En Rose. Her discography is weak, full of covers and songs she didn't wrote. She would be nothing without Jean Paul Goude and all the artists she has covered.

Ssrly why were some people so convinced that Bey or Gaga was Doris? The only thing I can think of is that the write up at the time of her memoir neglected to mention Doris's Vegas residency. Because Doris was doing a Vegas residency back in 2015 or before '15, as she mentions Doris's Vegas residency more than once in her memoir, and the only people who fit the clues and who were doing residencies at that time were Mariah, Celine, and Brit.

Image how would have been if Gaga started to trash every artist from this generation that praised or referenced her (Sam Smith, Cardi B, Halsey, Ava Max, Bad Bunny - which obv are not on her level artistically ). I'm glad she is not that kind of person, those salty and insecure 80s stars should take example.
