The13thNote 1,390
Madonna as a chart topper? Yes. Madonna as an icon? No. Madonna as an artist? Perhaps. Madonna as a touring threat? No. Madonna as a vocalist? Yes. Madonna as ahead of her time? Yes. Madonna as a dancer? Amazing for her age. Let's be honest: it's very unlikely Madonna will ever deliver a massive hit again. I'll never say never, but she has lost touch with pop culture. It's not clever or surprising or interesting anymore. But she will always be the biggest and first true female pop icon. There are only three or four artists that even came close to touching her pinnacle. And they only held onto it for a few years. Madonna masterfully managed to stay chart relevant for well over two decades. No other female artist has really done that except for Beyonce, Cher, and Jennifer Lopez. Not even Janet or Mariah or Whitney or Britney have successfully been 25 years in and still scoring top tens. Madonna's first hit was in 1982 and 30 years later in 2012 she managed to score a Top Ten. Regardless of how, she managed it.

It doesn't even look better on streaming services either where Cyndi also has more than Madonna. And to add further insult to injury, here are their second-most viewed videos on YouTube: Madonna's Hung Up: 189 million views Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time: 341 million views Cyndi won. Madonna fans have been making fun of Cyndi all her career. This is what they deserve . Cyndi is so kind, sweet and she is not an egomaniac. The13thNote 1,390
It's really crazy to think that, technically, Jennifer Lopez (94-18(Dinero ft. Cardi B)) has had more longevity than Britney (99-16(Make Me ft. G-Eazy)), Christina (99-13(Your Body)), Pink (00-18(What About Us?)), Rihanna (04-17(Wild Thoughts)), Janet (85-08(Feedback)), Whitney (82-00(My Love is Your Love)), and Mariah (90-09) in terms of scoring radio hits. (I define a radio hit as at least breaking the Top 10 OR staying in the Radio Airplay charts for 5+ weeks, *must also be a new entry, so Mariah Carey's "AIWFCIY" doesn't count as a "new song" even though it has re-peaked during different holiday seasons). Gagaplayer315 13,954
Maybe people are just getting tired of her using trendy acts for relevancy. And of course there are many threads about Madonna she just released a damn single, little madonners are silly Spoiler just wait a couple days ad GGD's true queen Miss Ava Max will reclaim her throne

What even are you saying! Who’s the best selling female artist of all time? Who has the highest grossing tour among female artists? Do you even know how many hits Madonna has? Just move on... You are a pressed little stan. As I mentioned, it's not only on YouTube. It's also on Spotify. They measure which songs are remembered today. There are more young people who know Girls Just Wanna Have Fun than the biggest Madonna song. If you seriously deny that then you're DELULULU. I'm not saying she doesn't have hits but Cyndi's biggest hit is bigger and more remembered than Madonna's biggest hit. Also, don't act like that. Not a good look on ya. To judge off of something that hasn't even been around for 20 years makes you look.... Well, Shallow Bitch I'm Madonna
