Just because they're labeled as "Progressive" or "Leftist," does not mean that they are *not sensible and reasonable! He also articulated what Democratic Socialism is quite nicely. And I think he approached the topic of his 1%-er status appropriately (all my friends and neoliberal Dems always **** on him for that) but he is advocating for a policy that would affect his taxes in a "negative" way Anyway, I adore this man and am tired of people putting him down when the disparaging remarks are typically used to label him a socialist or another rich person in a mansion (he is still a US career politician in some senses but has always been on the front lines for the every day American and marginalized communities) and I especially get miffed about the ageism directed at him -- looking at you Buttigeig and this "new generation" talk Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I haven't seen it but I read they also applauded late term abortion and Ilhan Omar. When they have a Democrat on they're not going to have a crowd of right wingers that will boo all the time. No other Democrat would ever agree to come on. My guess is the audience was mixed if not overly loaded with liberals or Bernie supporters. They screen their audiences. There's also the fact that Fox and Republicans would like nothing more than to run against a socialist in the general election or at least help him to cause problems for establishment Democrats in the primaries.
