Gam 19,695 Posted April 13, 2019 Share Posted April 13, 2019 Hi muppets and gals As some of you might know (or not) i'm not the biggest ARTPOP fan of all time but i'm willing to explore the album and the love behind it more. There's something about the album that just screams disingenuous to me, it seems like she was a completely different person at that time compared to the cowgirl yeehaw we have now. Everytime I listen to the album I always get reminded of what a tough time it was for her and get turned off the album. The songs aren't even bad, it's just missing something for me... I want to love the album and need y'all help So I wanted to ask what makes ARTPOP great to you personally? That and the variety on the album is impressive, she flawlessly goes from EDM, to dance pop, to hip hop, to r&b, to pop rock to ballads. Of course, the one liners are also great. “looking good and feeling fine” ”when I lay in bed I touch myself and think of you” ”I am so fab, im blonde, I’m skinny, I’m rich, and I’m a little bit of a bitch” ”Don’t you know my ass is famous” ”good *** in the passenger seat” I recently had my friend listen to the album and gave her half of these lines and asked her to fill in the lines after she listened to the album, she had a lot of fun with it. I think that sums it up really well. ARTPOP, while nonsensical at times, is really fun for the most part. Which is why the Artrave was such a great show tbh. The memories attached to this album for me are deep and a more better time in my life. It was really fun with all the fake leaks and thirst for any kind of news as Gaga was healing and creating. I do wish it was better executed and all her original ideas came to fruition as the album seemed like she had to get her essay in at midnight. I know she wasn't mentally or physically 100% during this era and I hope she has healed from it, but the ARTPOP era is truly "Lady Gaga" for me. I hope LG6 is truly "ARTPOP's little sister". It is noisy and a little weird.But if you can hear the instrumental, you will find so many details behind her vocal. It's just too beautiful! I am like a small boat in the universe. Venus ,ARTPOP and DWYW always make me cry. And I am too happy to see many people give praise in the comment place. Yes, we can comment in our music app.If you count them, maybe about thousands of people?And they all agree this album(The instrumental ) is new even in 2018 or 2019.
