Right! She also had to deal with a drug addicted abusive father. She overcame all hardships and is now one of the most successful if not THE MOST successful female rappers.

Cardi B also came from a poor background and had to work as a stripper to make money. They bother had it probably harder than most.  So proud of them for beating the odds and making a name for thenselves.

Amy Winehouse came from a working class background, her dad was a cab driver and I’m not sure about her mum. She did have some family ties in the music industry that may of helped her along, her grandmother was also a singer and dated Ronnie Scott (of the famous jazz bar in London). She also attended the Sylvia young stage school and short stint and the Brits school, both of which could be seen as a middle class privilege but I’m pretty sure her parents just worked their butts off it (plus she wasn’t at either for a very long time).
