I think it all started with the Manchester bombings in 2017 and then continued into 2018 with her highly publicized engagement and break-up with Pete Davidson in combination with the death of her ex Mac Miller

oh wow, this is sad. i think sometimes people might forget that celebs are humans and can have mental health issues and be affected by what happens to them.

I feel this is only because of her Manchester concert attack. Nothing to do with her break up with Pete or the death of Mac.

This is most interesting and basically what happens with trauma or repeated trauma is your prefrontal cortex (above your forehead) is permanently affected and this is the part of the brain that regulates emotion. Therefore, in certain situations your brain will be in fight-or-flight mode producing adrenaline and alot of people get confused, angry, and frustrated and struggle to have normal relationships.

I've obviously read up on it a lot as I've had many traumas during my childhood. It's so true what Gaga said about trauma changing you as a person. :kara:

As a medical professional and someone that works in mental health I do think trauma has severe and debilitating effects on a person’s psyche and as pictured does actually change the brain’s natural responses to things.

I will say I struggle with sympathy for Ariana when it appears that she exploits so much of her personal life, including deaths and tragedies, for personal gain, both for sympathy from fans and, at times, commercial gain. There’s a difference between addressing your trauma, or highlighting it as an issue for the general public, and perpetually making yourself the recipient of whatever good can come of it.

I'm scared to know what my brain would look like...:noparty:

Sad she has clearly shown physical effects from how this effects a person....so what does this mean? Her brain is more sensitive? Damaged?

I hope she finds the help she needs. Trauma isn't a joke no matter what circumstance it is

I mean, she was probably remembering the time she licked a doughnut she didn't buy and said she hated America :poot:

Different people deal with trauma differently. Expressing through art is one way like painters express their pain on canvases.
