Imagine a flat surface with a dent. Water would collect on that dent (force of gravity). Now puncture it so deep and hard that u open a hole on the dent. Water would no longer collect, it would just be gone According to that theory black holes don't have anything inside. All the matter that goes into them is either just gone from existence or it goes into another dimension or universe The OA knows.

I know it's unlikely but.. Apparently even a 1 millimeter black hole in earth's orbit could suck the earth Small black holes exist tho I don't know about ones that tiny

What if I ever get close to a blackhole? I know it's unlikely but.. Girl, you won't. If you do, we all will. Sucked into it. Zapped. We'll know nothing further. I don't think we could physically survive the conditions in one but we can't "know" what's on the other side. It doesn't even really make sense to think of something as being inside a black hole because as @Economy pointed out, it could simply be a disconnect/puncture. Has a very very strong gravitational pull though, so it's heavy AF. If it's nothingness, it's very heavy nothingness. Hard to imagine but yeah. Black holes absorb things so much that not even light (the fastest thing in the universe) can escape from it (which is why it appears black). We need light to see anything and so it's quite literally impossible to see inside a black hole. Tanner 810
It's so awesome to see this being posted everywhere - the process of creating this image was heavily facilitated by a scientist at MIT (where I go to school) and it's been great seeing the celebration!
