huttont 4,916
What’s with everyone saying this song is flopping? I hear this on the radio very frequently in my town
Quartz 11,923
It's really fascinating how a hair color change singlehandedly brought down someone's career. It's just so fascinating. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

This song is good and she's been fading too much lately. The problem I see with katy is that she relies a lot on her success and that she doesn't have many ways of having it (like Gaga had to make a full career move with jazz, then a country-pop-rock album, then a movie... I don't see katy doing these things to recover, so she can only wait for pure pop to come back on top to have her previous success)

Hell Bon appetit and Chained to the rhythm is playing nonxstop on shopping centres, local radio etc. 369, a stand-alone single, barely had anything. I still have yet to hear it here. luna’s advocate

Nikolai Barrow 1,337
Love the outfit! Like everyone else said. I have no idea why this song flopped. It's so catchy! The verses aren't the best but that hook is an earworm!

It's just so fascinating. I don't think it's just about the hair. She just put on this very comedic personality throughout the Witness era, and it's still there. She doesn't take herself seriously and jokes about flopping and not being as good as other pop stars, she puts memes into her own videos, she acted like a soccer mom on SNL. I mean there's nothing wrong with being fun and cheerful, I personally love her personality, I think she's super fun and an extremely nice person, but sometimes comedy and pop music don't go hand-in-hand. She has been a funny star since One of the Boys though. She just had the looks to back it up. It's like with the black hair gone, suddenly her humor became dorky and her music too try-hard. It's just a mismatch. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
