skaxboy 5,686
“Part of your job is to listen to me” LOL! Joy was talking and Meghan interrupted her. In that moment Meghan technically was not listening to Joy anymore but Meghan calls out Joy? I would have assumed it is part of Meghan’s job to listen also. Ima have to use this line when I’m feeling sassy.

The same cold be said about Ronan Farrow, and Anderson "Vanderbilt" Cooper. The most powerful man in the world is using the White House as a bully pulpit to degrade the legacy of her recently deceased Father - that is why Megan has been talking about her Father so much recently. He just died, and Trump is using it as an opportunity to attack him. She's mourning while having to defend him. The audience is always hostile to her, and the rest of the panel often feeds on that - which is why Megan can seem "triggered." If you or I were the token liberals on a largely conservative talk show, and the audience was made up of a rural red state crowd, we would probably react similarly. Aside from her being a staunch advocate for LGBT rights, I don't think I agree with Megan McCain on most issues, but the entire point of the show is to hear different points of view. That's it. That is the entire concept. Her perspective is valuable. Actually you could say the opposite because Meghan is always slamming the audience... Most of the audience are liberal mainly because the show is filmed in Midtown Manhattan. And it's not like they're booing or going after her. She is also constantly bringing up her family to justify her arguments and only cares about Republicans gone rogue when her family is involved negatively. Whenever she's in a tight spot she also acts like a brat and and completely changes the discussion topic. They were once talking about the environment and she suddenly brought up abortion and wouldn't let others make counter points without Meghan mocking them... The point is that there are WAAYY better pundits than Ms. McCain. She only is where she is today because of her father, not because of what she brings to the table. And it's not much considering most of what she spouts can easily be thrown out as sensationalized whataboutisms. We need to stop defending these people because they're in "hostile" environments. No, they just suck at their jobs.

She hasn’t just now started talking about her father. I watch the YouTube clips of this show every day. She always manages to bring up her father or family, more than most people normally would. It’s understandable she talks about him seeing as he was sick and then died. The attacks against her family by Trump are horrible, and she has handled it well, I give her that. But the audacity she has to be so rude. She should be fired. She gets triggered over anything. The ladies and the crowd aren’t that hostile to her. She is more hostile than the ladies and the crowd combined. Can we can have a conservative on she show with basic social skills? Is the bar so low with these people? My god. Ana Navarro.

She reminds us of the fact every ****ing day with her “my father” comments. She is so rude and gets triggered over every damn thing and takes everything personal. Jed was annoying but at least had a brain and had some basic respect. It doesn’t matter which side of the political landscape you fall on, her father was & always will be an American hero & he passed away. She’s grieving & was coping with her loss & to come down on her for that is disgusting. If someone you loved died you’d be talking about them keeping them alive in memory as often as her I’m sure. Also, she takes everything “personally”? Lmao of course she does, it’s her beliefs. All of the woman take it personally just like you’re doing right now by coming down on someone you’ve never met or talked to. I’m not a republican but I also don’t stand for people hating others. Stop projecting.

On The View Whoopi has defended Bill Cosby, said that racial profiling isn't racist, said Roman Polanski isn't guilty of "rape-rape," defended Paula Deen saying the n-word, defended Liam Neeson after he said he wanted to kill the fist black man he saw on the street, and a slew of other deeply problematic comments...but Meghan McCain is a white Republican, so..I guess she isn't worth defending? 36 minutes ago, ZacharyMark said: Actually you could say the opposite because Meghan is always slamming the audience... Meghan McCain went to Columbia, has experience in a Presidential campaign, and has years of experience as a pundit on radio and TV. That makes her as qualified as everyone else at the table, and more qualified than past hosts of the show. She is more conservative than her fellow co-hosts, but she isn't really even a Republican. She identifies as an Independent, she was on the National Board of Directors at GLADD, she roasts people like Anne Culter and Laura Ingraham, she takes Republicans to task on social issues like abortion, she hates and didn't vote for Trump, etc. This site, and really all of social media, is so perversely toxic and tribal. Emvee 8,473
Meghan McCain May be correct in pointing out the wrong doings of previous democratic administrations, but she is nevertheless a political hack. Period. The amount of fearmongering and misinformation she spreads about Bernie and AOC. She truly caricaturizes them as the boogeyman - INSISTS on calling their platforms “socialist” after Sunny and Joy have to repeatedly remind her that it’s democratic socialism (social democracy). Constantly misrepresents statistics and even concepts when it comes to progressive policies. It is because of people like her that the United States of America, the wealthiest nation on earth, still has a healthcare system that kills people, an education system that indebts them, and a prison system that profits off of them - all the while glorifying war and providing corporate welfare via loopholes and no taxation at all, in some cases. Anderson spent a decade working in the most dangerous areas of the world to get journalism experience. He worked his way from the ground up and by selling his home-made news segments to Channel One. Ronan Farrow was a child prodigy, skipping several grades and graduating College by age 15. He went on to get a his Masters and was a Rhodes Scholar and got his Doctorate, Farrow has achieved his respect in journalism through his investigative reporting pieces and his years of being an activist. "That somehow got interpreted as I have led this mass exodus out of the Republican party," she said. "It's not true at all: I am still a Republican.” Speak for yourself...or someone else...as I didn’t dismiss anyone.
