I have really different assumption than that. Sorry

There are people that are more open minded but even more or at least half of that are really "conservative". There is really lots of social pathology simply everywhere and it shows. I cannot go out once to not see things like this. People that are aggressive. I was attacked physically more than 4 times, even more verbally. For being gay, for being "different". Maybe there is some kind of chsnge, but that change is so extremely small to me that I consider it being stable and not moving forward at all.

It depends on where you live too. Bigger cities = more tolerance.

You have a point but that is a very hurtful assumption you're making. I live in the Middle East where massacre are happening every day, not just all around me in countries like Palestine, Iraq and Syria, but to people like me. I live in a country where being gay is punishable by prison, where i can't look at my boyfriend a certain way because i'm surrounded by hostile people would love nothing more than to report me to the infamous police dept. i live next to, known for imprisoning, probing and torturing gay people. For you to come and tell me I'm privileged and don't know what struggle is when all I'm trying to do is desperately believe the world is turning into a better place is disheartening.

I sincerely apologize for the assumption. I have come across privileged people before who have spoken of massacres because they didn't have to deal with their effects and erroneously thought you were one of them.

I understand that you're trying to be optimistic but we can do that without invalidating others' frustrations. :)
