I loved the original but I really liked this new adaptation, all those twist and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. What did you think of the movie?

Sematary is child spelling. I can elaborate but it is possible spoilery.

I've watched it. But I kinda wished it wouldn't ended like that.

I have to agree. I saw it twice this weekend. The new adaptation is awesome and slightly better than the original 1989 film. I will always love the original, but the latest film took it a step further and the acting was way better. It could use improvements, but for what it is, it is really good.

Yes it is. It is more bleak on this 2019 ones.

See the 1989 film if you want a faithful adaptation.

There is an actual Pet Sematary in Maine where King was living in Maine at the time of writing the book. A neighborhood kid was asked to make a sign for a pet cemetery and he misspelled it, but they kept it. Thus, leading to Stephen King spelling it that way.

I actually hated this movie by the end of it. 

The last act was TERRIBLE.

Yeah, the last act was kind of rushed and definitely lacking. Besides the 3rd act, I feel most of the movie was really good. They reinvented the Zelda story and Church was really cool and creepy.

It was AWFUL. I highly recommend reading the book.

Terrible movie. Scares are often lame and predictable to the core. 

It’s a remake for remake sake. There isn’t anything that adds to the narrative, no worthy modern touches. The so-called “twist” is a non-twist because it doesnt change anything really.

My audience burst out laughing at the dialogue because they’re so cringey.

It's not a remake of a remake   It's a new adaptation.

Plus the acting is much better than Dale Midkiff's deadpan performance throughout the original and the annoying and loud Ellie. 

There are many things  the new Pet Sematary done that could have been better, but it holds up really well compared to the 1989 film.
