Well I would apologise for being late (my haircut took 20 minutes longer than usual :saladga:) but there's no one here :vegas:

I'm sorry I know it's a really inconvenient time for most people but this is literally the only time I can do it in the next two weeks so I'll have to do it now. Won't be much of a ceremony but it's the best I can do, maybe you guys can come on later and share your opinions

Let the 'ceremony' begin! :vegas:

#15. Killer

Killer.jpg

Overall Score: 6.89

Highest Score: 9.5 -  @Jacob Crosson

Lowest Score: 4 -  @slayo

Comments:

@Jacob Crosson (9.5) UGHHH the piano at the beginning... we-

@Rumours1977 (7.25) I find this to be a VERY strange way to end the album. While it isn’t a bad track, it is again slightly too repetitive (it could’ve used another verse or it could have been cut shorter). It isn’t a bad track, but I do think it is a weird way to close the album.

@Blue Madonna (7) Why did she end on this? It’s a good song, nice and dreamy. While her vocals border on dreary in the chorus, I still find it enjoyable. But it’s not a high note to end the album with? In an album filled with bangers why did she end it with this down-beat song? Feel Like A Fool’s last part would have been a perfect album closer. Enjoyable, but not a good place on the tracklist makes it fall slightly flat.

@freakumdress (8.4) A great ending but not the strongest track.

#14. Gotta Get Up (Interlude)

Gotta-Get-Up.png

Overall Score: 7.28

Highest Score: 8.5 -  @Blue Madonna

Lowest Score: 5 - @Jacob Crosson

Comments:

@Jacob Crosson (5) because it needs to be wayyy longer, it's too good to be so short.

@Rumours1977 (9) Why on earth am I liking her interludes and intros more than many of the other tracks?!? Lol. Anyway, I absolutely adore how this interlude sounds. It’s so relaxing to listen to.

@Blue Madonna (8.5) A very nice interlude, but nothing more than an interlude in my opinion. While others wish this was longer, I really enjoy it for what it is and it very well precedes Tomorrow, which because of these two wonderful interludes (the other being Coming Home) become an album centrepiece. Again, the lyrics are perfectly relatable and I think she did very well with emulating the meaning of the song through its sound, the woozy production feels just like getting out of bed when you really don’t want to.

@freakumdress (8.4) This interlude is a contrast to "In My Dreams". Talking about how she cannot keep up this fantasy daydream and need to get up and making it real. I love how she's really telling a story through the whole album.

Fun fact!

Out of the 15 songs, only 6 songs received 11s. And out of those 6, only THREE songs received multiple 11s :wtfga:

Shockingly, the next song to be eliminated is one of those three :wtfga:

#13. Flight 22

Flight-22.jpg

Overall Score: 7.67

Highest Score: 11 - @Rumours1977 @slayo

Lowest Score: 4 - @Jacob Crosson @monsterdino

Comments:

@Jacob Crosson (4) This is my least favorite song on the album, but It is still amazing

@Rumours1977 (11) Okay, this track is giving me some serious Amy Winehouse vibes, which is always a positive thing. A great step in the right direction after Just a Stranger underwhelmed me. Great Track!!

@Blue Madonna (9.75) This track is awesome! I love the dreamy vibe of it, and the way her voice goes up and down in the chorus is just amazing. The instrumental is minimalistic but nice, and it fits very well with her flow.

@freakumdress (8.8) A very cute song with a somewhat bittersweet lyrics. I love the trumpets on the outro.

#12. Your Teeth In My Neck

Your-Teeth-In-My-Neck.png

Overall Score: 7.69

Highest Score: 10 - @monsterdino @mariariot

Lowest Score: 4 - @slayo

Comments:

@Jacob Crosson (6) I could literally twerk to this song forever

@Rumours1977 (7.75) This unfortunately is more forgettable for me. Moreover, some of the songs are starting to sound similar, so I’m hoping the album will change things up slightly soon.

@Blue Madonna (8.5) This track leaves slightly less of an impression than its formers imo, but it has a nice tune! The production on this song is very well done, the different layers playing little riffs in the background. I always find the lyrics slightly jarring though :poot:

@freakumdress (8.9) The instrumentals is insane on this track. She's getting a bit political talking about capitalism. I think the lyrics are genius as always. "Rich man keeps getting richer taking from the poor".

#11. Coming Home (Interlude)

Coming-Home.jpg

Overall Score: 7.77

Highest Score: 9.1 - @freakumdress

Lowest Score: 6 - @Jacob Crosson @monsterdino

Comments:

@Jacob Crosson (8) this is the most underrated song on the album

@Rumours1977 (8.5) It’s nice to see her thought process as she transitions from naivety in Tomorrow to self-evaluation in Coming Home. Another solid interlude.

@Blue Madonna (8.75) I love the vocals on this song, another very good interlude.

@freakumdress (9.1) I love both parts but the second one is probably my favorite because  of its great lyrical content.

#10. Body Language (Intro)

Body-Language.jpg

Overall Score: 7.83

Highest Score: 9.25 - @Blue Madonna @Rumours1977

Lowest Score: 5 - @slayo

Comments:

@TranquilityBase (8) I really love this as a short intro. It sets the mood for the album as at a tiki bar by the beach at sunset as the waves roll in and out. Its so pleasant.

@Jacob Crosson (7) her vocals in this song... I-

@Rumours1977 (9.25) I absolutely adore the old-school instrumentation/vibes from this track. It almost sounds like a Minnie Riperton track.

@Blue Madonna (9.25) A perfect intro, I love the little embellishments played by some sort of woodwind instrument in the background, it’s perfectly atmospheric but with a soft beat that flows nicely into Miami. I also love the message of the lyrics! Her voice is heavenly on this track.

@freakumdress (8.5) A perfect introduction to the album. It's mysterious while still letting the listeners get an idea of what the record's gonna sound like.

#9. Tomorrow

Tomorrow.png

Overall Score: 7.85

Highest Score: 10 - @monsterdino @Rumours1977 @ZiggyZiggs

Lowest Score: 4 - @slayo

Comments:

@Jacob Crosson (4.5) Idk what it is, but this is just a flop for me :lolly:

@Rumours1977 (10) One of my favorite tracks thus far. I also appreciate her criticism of the American Dream and how youth can provide comfort in the notion that one has an infinite amount of time (which is clearly a fallacy). I wonder if that youthful mentality will fade by the end of the album…

@Blue Madonna (8.75) An album centrepiece, with its bookends of sorts being the interludes. For me, this song is perfect for what it is, there’s not really anything I dislike about it, but I just don’t enjoy it as much as other tracks on the album.

@freakumdress (9.6) Kevin Parker did so good! You can really hear Tame Impala on this song but it still fits the album. I love the come on's together with the spanish outro. Definitely  one of the best tracks on Isolation.

#8. In My Dreams

In-My-Dreams.jpg

Overall Score: 8.04

Highest Score: 10 - @Jacob Crosson

Lowest Score: 6 - @monsterdino

Comments:

@TranquilityBase (9) Ok so the tea of this song is that she worked Damon Albarn, with the guy behind the Gorillaz, on a track from his 2017 album Humanz. Then, he sang back up on this song. I have to assume he also did some of the production of this one because this song sounds like it came from that album.

@Jacob Crosson (10) Ugh this song is sooo freaking goooood

@Rumours1977 (8) I appreciate that the song sounds different than many others sonically. It’s a very cute song.

@Blue Madonna (8.75) The Gorillaz influence really huge here, this could easily fit onto one of their albums. But that’s not a bad thing! I love Damon Albarn, I think he’s a genius, and he did very well on this track. It feels very high energy, and I think it’s a nice way to lead into the dream-inspired segment that is the next three tracks on the album. Lyrics are great too, very relatable :sharon:

@freakumdress (9.5) This one is just pure happiness. The highnote is so powerful.

#7. Tyrant

Tyrant.jpg

Overall Score: 8.43

Highest Score: 10 - @monsterdino

Lowest Score: 6 - @Jacob Crosson

Comments:

@Jacob Crosson (6) just because I played it too much

@Rumours1977 (7) The favorite part of this track for me actually was the feature. There are definitely stronger tracks on the album.

@Blue Madonna (9.75) Wow, their voices work together so well, I wish their tour would come to NZ!! The lyrics have succeeded in being woke without cringey (not everybody has that) and I find it an odd combination of dark and slightly sexy (the latter from their wonderful voices) which makes for a brilliant emotional response, one of my favourites on the album.

@mariariot (10) I prefer the spanish version maybe because it was the first I listened or because I speak spanish but I love ittt so much.

@freakumdress (8.3) Possibly my least favorite while still being a great song. Kali and Jorja's voices blends together so well.
