I can't speak for the US, but in Europe certainly modern Christianity is all about charity, tolerance and peace. I was never taught to judge or condemn others for their sins (in fact that goes totally against Christian beliefs). The main topic was always why we should respect and help those in need.

The claim that "the majority of Christians are racist and homophobic" is honestly ludicrous. You seem to have the idea that all Christians are just white American Trump supporters, forgetting that Christianity is literally the most popular religion on the planet... Do some research and stop being so closed minded please.

For so many people, religion is a source of comfort, positivity and hope. I guess maybe you had a bad experience with religion and I'm sorry about that, but please stop insulting all these people just because you have some bigoted and uninformed idea about who they are.

Just out of curiousity I don't know where in Europe you live burn in my country almost no one under 60 is still christian I guess for them Its more a culturial think 

I mean churches are empty except for a few eighty year olds and the priests are also a dying breed 

And from my age group and do not know one person who is relgious

However you are definitely right, numbers are decreasing dramatically and priests are very hard to come by.

But in my church the majority of the congregation were parents with young children actually. There were children's groups and coffee mornings every week which were always very lively and busy. And most of my friends went up until we were around 18/19yo, with a handful who still go in their 20s. I suppose it all just depends on where you go.

The majority of Christians here in America are white, racist, homophobic republicans who fear what is not known or like them. Also I’m speaking of America, which you just said you’re unable to speak on. To sit there & assume I’ve had some sort of trauma because of religion or to outright say I’m “bigoted & uninformed” doesn’t really sound that Christian of you, or are you only Christian when it suits you? “Do some research” of religion in America & how it has divided & corrupted our nation, infringing on our personal human rights & discriminating against anyone who they deem unworthy. Hell, we still have conversion camps here in America. The most notable Christian church’s donate to anti-lgbt & anti-abortion causes all the while protesting to have our basic human rights taken away & while they’re protesting us your religions Christian priests are RAPING little boys behind closed doors, do they do that in your country too or is that just in America also? Not to mention the people running for office in the in eastern & central EU are currently using religion & faith to attack the LGBT. You keep standing up for this preacher saying we should see it from his “point of view” but if the people don’t want to they shouldn’t be forced to. No one deserves another person pushing their religion & beliefs on them saying they’re trying to “save” them as if they need saving. That’s the issue with Christians, they think everyone is going to this imaginary “hell” if they don’t conform to their beliefs.

I grew up Catholic, I come from a Christian family, I’ve experienced my family’s growth towards accepting me & I know the religion so don’t come at me saying I don’t know anything & that “not all Christians are bad.” I clearly said the MAJORITY meaning most, not all, so speak on what you KNOW, not what you DONT. I never said “all” are bad. I’m glad you’re so “accepting” but please take your “Christian values” & go insult someone else cause they don’t agree with you or think your religion is the end-all, be-all.

Whether or not you agree with it, I think you should be understanding about why they're preaching and campaigning so much. If murder started becoming widely accepted in society, wouldn't you campaign against it?

This sort of comment is very problematic. Replace "Christians" with Jews or Muslims and see how bigoted it sounds.

If they supported welfare and the children in orphanages and free education/healthcare - I could see their point of view. But they are usually against those things too. Apparently life is important in the womb but not after.
