Most ARTPOP songs (esp. Aura, Venus, ARTPOP, Swine, Mary Jane Holland), Bloody Mary, Government Hooker, Teeth
In my opinion Bloody Mary is her most bizzare song and a masterpiece! :queenga:

When we're not together tell me everything's gonna be alright

There are a few songs on BTW that all sound similar. :selena:

Production got too cohesive maybe. But melodies did too. :teehee:

Electric Chapel (strange mix of instruments, genre-swapping throughout the song)

Aura (the structure and ultra-complex beat)

Venus (it sounds like three songs put together and it's bizzarre at its finest)

Listening to "Government Hooker" for the first time is my strongest memory of listening to Gaga and thinking "WHAT THE F*CK IS THIS? THIS IS CRAZY!"

I was drowning in queer theory when "ARTPOP" was released, and its lyrics are so crazy that I think you can read whatever you want into it. I certainly did! It was definitely about Foucault and Lauren Berlant and Michael Warner and sexualized publics in my mind, lmao.

Another standout in terms of weirdness is "LoveGame." People seriously underestimate how important that single was for Gaga at that point in her career, and I think it's largely thanks to the lyrically whacky line--the linguistic innovation that IS the phrase"disco stick."

This set is basically an album. They’re all bizarre and have a uniqueness that make you want to listen over and over. And this intense emotion infused in them like Aura, Swine and Teeth have this rages I love it

Surprised no one has said Sexxx Dreams. Sure, it has a pop sound in it, but imagine explaining that song to people. The relationship between the backing and front vocals then the random funk bridge and the laugh and the lyrics? I think it's just not as obviously bizarre because things flow more easily from one to the next. ARTPOP, as neutered as I'm sure it ended up being, is still one of her weirdest albums lol
