It kind of feels like each movie was directed by the same person, which for a cinematic universe, is sort of what you want. I think the DCEU is moving in that direction too. I haven't watched Aquaman or Shazam, but I've heard both of them are great movies, and by the advertisement, you can tell both of them have a similar tone. Them bringing back characters is part of the cinematic universe, though.
