@Saint Jude Gaga is 33 years old. The older you get as a pop star, the hardest it gets for you to have commercial success. Yes, she wants commercial succes. She’s a pop star. It’s part of the culture. She’s not some indie artist. If you have found a new peak in your career (which is hard to do) and have this momentum going on, you take a advantage of it. The only artist who can take more than a 5 years hiatus and comeback just as strong is Adele. And that is because Adele makes traditional pop music. Nothing new nor experimental.

i'd rather have an album i love and i enjoy listening to over and over than an album that won grammys and awards because of the hype of a very mediocre made-for-and-by-americans movie like asib

As if Lady Gaga is doing mediocre music.

Most of her albums have been made in a very short time.

that session was probably for something we'll never hear

The LG6 she started in August 2017 with DJWS and worked on through to early 2018 is the scrapped early concept (as confirmed by DJWS stating he is no longer on the project) and it was said back in late 2017 that Gaga was recording for a BloodPop song, aka she would be a feature on one of his songs (DJWS also told fans this at a house party he held while super drunk, theres photographic proof that this happened too as i know some of them from twitter and bloodpop liked tweets about there being a single featuring gaga)

I think anything from April 2018 onward is the LG6 we will be getting (this was when Gaga had her first boys noize session and started posting pics all the time with bloodpop)

To be honest that picture came after the DJWS tour bus recording sessions so.... that could mean she changed her direction right there

What works for Florence doesn't necessarily work for Gaga.

They're kinda different when it comes to Fame and Success.

If Gaga made something more lowkey like Florence does, she'd be considered a flop whereas Florence is just considered an underground artist and that is very appealing to some people.

Anyway, they're my two faves  and i understand that they're both extremely talented but act in very different ways when it comes to manage their career

Yikes....say what you will about the style of film itself but most of the music spawned from it is hardly mediocre regardless of what country or continent you're from. And to call either Melodrama or Honey one of the best albums in history? My eyes are rolling from the pretension of the stanning of such critically overrated albums. I like Honey as well but I mean.....masterpiece it is not.

i actually hope we get a 5 year hiatus from joanne and she comes back with a huge record, so good and so expected that everyone talks about it for months.

melodrama, i never learn, how big how blue how beautiful, honey... best albums in history take time.

idk I mean TFM was a few MONTHS and was great so if the inspiration is there, why fight it?

Also want to add that I didn't *love* HBHBHB and thought HAH and Ceremonials were better albums. It wasn't bad, just felt a bit safe to me and didn't push their sound too much.

or trend-dependent; that's crucial.

I remember this being posted, and also remember the rumors of a song called “Hounds” said to be the lead single off of bloodpop’s debut album. Dunno what to think at this point, whatever they were recording was during the very early stages.

I also agree that LG6 started taking shape in April of last year, when BoysNoize became involved. It’s literally been a year and they’re STILL in the studio and only more and more producers are getting/rumored to be involved. Gaga has some big things in store I think.

that's the beauty of it, we all have our own opinions. mine's that hbhbhb is her best work, the sound settled down and stopped being too epic for the shake of it and the lyrics became way more personal and intimate.

well, it's my opinion. when i say that they're some of the best albums in history it's obviously just to me. just like i didn't like asib at all and many many people loved it.

actually, this is such a nice way of putting it. i agree that it may not work the same way for every artist but maybe a long time off the radar is something she could try

Yeah LG6 length of hyping is comparable to ARTPOP. Serious LG5/ Joanne hyping didn’t really start till early 2015 and just a little over a year and half later we had Joanne. ARTPOP hyping began in late 2011 and we didn’t have the album for two years. We’re already at a year and half for LG6

I mean, we know what happened with ARTPOP.

She went off the radar for too long before releasing it and also she teased too soon.

If she's do it now, i wouldn't say it would be as bad as ARTPOP Era but it will definitely drive some people away
