The only gem in it was DWUW, but now that is gone the trainwreck is completely USELESS, maybe except for Dope, which funny enough the same ARTPOP lovers and defenders bash and hate Lmao. THE LACK OF TASTE SIMPLY SHOWS. Let's not be part of her yes - man entourage so that history doesn't repeat. And yes, I lived and vividly remember ARTPOP era, a disaster. Personally, I love four or five tracks from ARTPOP but I agree it is the weakest of her albums. And some of those tracks that I still love sound kind of dated nowadays (particularly G.U.Y.). At the time it was released tho, G.U.Y was ahead of its game and the visuals she served were good. Dope is great, but her vocals are kind of weak on it like she's purposefully trying to sound doped up and it doesn't work. My main issue with ARTPOP is that it's over-produced and the auto-tune. I remember watchinf the iTunes festival and being a little sceptical and disappointed by the songs, but to call the whole album trash is uncalled for. There are plenty great songs on it apart from DWUW and Dope, you've got G.U.Y., ARTPOP, Fashion! and Jewels and Drugs (even though yall drag it here). She served great visuals and had some of the most iconic performances like Applause on VMAs, DWUW on AMAs and Dope on Youtube Awards. All of them actually, except DWUW, ARTPOP, Mary Jane Holland, Dope, Gypsy and Applause. There's something wrong with its production. Where are the synths Swine needed? Where are the verse vocals Aura needed? Where are the good choruses for G.U.Y. or Donatella?
