That doesn't really matter though, it'll be used against him regardless. I think some of it is quite overblown/majorly exaggerated, but my main gripe with Biden is that hes really not that progressive and we need at least that in the white house tbh. Furthermore, his voting/policy record is quite mediocre. He has a lot of baggage that is going to hurt him ala Hillary but w.o the sexism. At least with Hillary, even though she was moderate and occassionally war hawk-ish, she wasn't so moderate that progressives could not vote for her (though people did abstain, vote Jill, even Trump). In this political climate, I can easily see how his baggage might not just alienate middle ground independents and people who don't want to vote for Trump, but also progressives and even some slightly more left than average Democrats. His views are relevant to multi-generational voters. Yes, he's somewhat problematic and part of the system/owns the big house, but damn he genuinely cares. Dude was recognizing his privilege years ago protesting for equality. I'm worried the Democrats are kind of flooding the field like the Republicans did in 2016. Where is the republican movement to rebrand their image, they can't all be content with how it is. Is it even possible to rebrand republicans (like from bigots to just... difference in opinion idk?), or would that just become democrat? or a new party? Are their economic policies racist/etc at their core? Would it ever be possible for me to support a republican as a liberal (lmao)?
