martiniglistens 1,040
It is just that generation's internet culture. Insta captions, tweets, usernames- the capital letter is gone These artists are just following that trend to appeal to that generation/they are of that generation so thats how they type lmao

Nosferatu 1,091
Taylor did it for the Reputation album title as well. I think it's pointless and tacky tbh
PerfectGUY 7,822
Let's not forget ARTPOP set the trend for the uppercase!!
Eddie 2,518
Ok you better change that "it started with Ariana" bs I like it if it's just for one era with good visual and aesthetic too What if tomorrow I see you again? Should I say that I used to love you?
Twitter 14
It’s cute for artists like Ariana but it is not for everyone. In Gaga’s case she would look better following an uppercase aesthetic.

freakumdress 690
Many have done this way before Ariana or Billie tho. i usually prefer it when the titles are just normal with capital first letters. I think it can look good when they use only uppercase tho, but only for big names like Bey, Rih or Gaga. My worst “aesthetic” for a tracklist was for Zayn’s debut album who mixed uppercase with lowercase LikE tHiS sh*t like that makes the album messy before you even listen to it
Sorcerer 10,563
It's pretentious, unnecessary, and annoying. Most of these artists don't even have a reason why they are doing it. That's how meaningless it is.

ice bear 1
vertigo by EDEN: he also uses // to separate the title of his double songs, a thing i really like, for example: start//end, forever//over also i think it's more like an element of aesthetic than one by itself i actually got used to type in all lowercase because i like stylized stuff haha the band Shinedown has an album called ATTENTION ATTENTION which features all of the songs in all caps, then only one in all lows, which is called "special" so there's that idea of understatement in using it ice heard one side from above

Zander 14,817
It feels very tumblr-esq. The way she’s using it is embarrassingly pretentious.
