this year when she said everything was just an act and that she created the Lady Gaga persona to hide Stefani and all that talk

She never said that tho.

I’m blonde, I’m skinny, I’m rich and I’m a little bit of a bitch

After Joanna was released. I loved AP and then C2C tested my patience but then Joanne was released and my interest in Gaga dropped massively. I wouldn't ever unstan, my interest just wavers depending on the music. ASIB peaked my interest again though.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

So am I the only one who really loved Gaga again after Joanne? :awkney:

Even if TFM is my favorite album, I really appreciated Joanne, which is way better than that mess of ARTPOP :whitney:

After SXSW I was wondering what was happening to her and that was my first "I don't know if I can support what she's doing anymore" attitude. Looking back now, I understand, but during the moment it was challenging to see what I was witnessing.

Gaga is quite the inconsistent artist in my opinion, for every moment of greatness you can usually encounter a few underwhelming moments coming right after. But when she delivers, she absolutely does. That makes it hard to ignore her.

I guess you can also say that her highs are that high.

Yeah, I’ve always felt this too.

It’s because she’s such a bold daring artists, she’ll risk it all on stage and fully commit and when it doesn’t work it can be truly cringe. But when it hits it’s so beyond what anyone else can do.

I think a good moment demonstrating this quality of hers is the Superbowl football catch. There was so little to gain from that tiny moment but it could have ****ed the whole performance. No other artist would have dared. I mean what if it slapped her in the face on the way down, instant meme career over. It’s that ability to risk everything and own those moments where there’s no floor beneath her that make her so captivating and inspiring imo, so I tend to forget the small cringe moments and just look forward to the next time she’s able to fully realise her vision.

Exactly. That was something else.

I didn’t almost unstan but sxsw puke was the first time she made me very uncomfortable. I’m glad she didn’t keep going down that route

Interesting because I was living for it. I find it interesting how everyone was so shocked when she had an interlude with Millie puking on her playing at the Monster Ball for years. I was excited to see her reference this and see it live. For some reason SXSW to me seemed very therapeutic for Gaga. She was in rebel mode, seemed almost angry at the pop industry. Loved when she brought the other Rivington rebels on stage.

I never felt like unstanning but I was frustrated with her during a big part of 2015. I loved the C2C shows but for the most part she seemed to have given up bit and was presented as this former pop legend that now only performed tributes and covers.  Imagine in Baku was beautiful but felt like she did it for the cash.

I don't like it when she does things purely for the money. She doesn't need it IMO, not for the money and not for the exposure. Sure it is the thing now to sponsor Instagram posts,  but that doesn't mean you have to do it. She's not the worst of the worst so I can't really complain, but it still irks me, especially since she barely shares anything on social media anyways. And then she only shares spontaneous moments on Insta stories so it doesn't mess up her Instagram page layout which is such bullshit to me. Her Instagram is not her portfolio, her music and other art is.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

Nothing she’s done has made me want to unstan but her fans have become extremely unbearable at times to where I take breaks from her.

I think there are artists that you just "like", consider yourself a "casual fan" - then kinda drop the artist when they don't deliver musically what you like... I have artists that I feel I'm a "stan" meaning, that I love them as people too and relate to them and feel what they've released as music or they have had huge impact on me and my life. Such artist I just couldn't drop or "unstan" because of a video or an album I don't like? Because to me it's more than that. I think I'll always love Gaga (and some other artists) no matter what they will do next. Obviously if she were to do something really awful things would be different.
