Laura Pergolizzi (born March 18, 1981) is an American singer and songwriter who performs under the stage name LP. She has released five albums and one LP . She has written songs for other artists including: Cher ("Red" and "Pride"), Rihanna ("Cheers (Drink to That)"), Rita Ora ("Shine Ya Light") and Christina Aguilera ("Beautiful People"). I discovered her with this breathtaking "Halo" cover: Then I fell in love with this orginal single, both live and the music video version: And then I completely forgot about her! Til 2018 when she released this song, one of my favorites from 2018: And now my weird boyfriend is obsessed with this ****ING MASTERPIECE, if you don't know this song you totally should listen to it, seriously. When I was working at the supermarket they were always playing the same songs, including Lost on You and Other People. I loved these songs but the constant overplaying exhausted me.
