And to clarify, YES, Spanish is a European language YET most whites in the US don't speak it and associate it with non-whites, mostly Latinos. Again showcasing the xenophobia associated with Spanish from many Americans is partly due to racism and their perception of those who they see speaking Spanish. And that would be much worse, tbh. It would infer that they are being genocidal, racist, and stupid. I won't forget that Trump is POTUS because of old, uneducated (stupid) white men. I'm so embarrassed to be part of their demographic, although I'm much younger and have already completed college courses even though I'm still in high school. I met a lot of Trump supporters when taking my all inclusive vacations and meeting plenty of Americans at resorts.
