I mean, chicken pox certainly isn't the most deadly disease for children so I can understand that. But if you are an adult and haven't had it, you should get vaccinated. Governments and health plans make the assumption that everyone has had the chicken pox when they were young. Once you get to like 30 and haven't had it, I wouldn't take my chances, since it will just get worse and worse as you age. PS: Vaccines "making it worse" is a hypothetical scenario they are using to justify not vaccinating, but with a population of 330 million, the US pretty much disproves that. The UK is heavily pro-vaccine. There isn't even an argument against that here. The point is with this particular disease, it is clearly fine to let kids get a natural version of the vaccine by having the mild illness. That's how our immune systems grow, now do not get me wrong we still need vaccines for very real, very serious diseases and this CAN be one of them but usually it isn't.
