I love Alejandro but, la isla Bonita is so iconic for the 80s it’s my childhood song  Alejandro too though

You are joking right?

you do know the actual lyric is: Last night I dreamt of San Pedro

"My name is Dita, I'll be your Mistress tonight..."

They're quite different and I love them both

Yeah I saw people saying that alejandro was a las isla bonita copy and I never got why!

The spanish vibe only? :)

Ya'll know what I chose :tony:

But I really love  Alejandro's inspiration: ABBA's Fernando, Madonna's La Isla, Ace of Base, the track itself, it still sounds "fresh," she always has great introductions to it (about saying goodbye to your past lovers), and hell, that talented babe Evan Peters said it's his favorite Gaga song :icega:.  And everything felt "right" with life back in the summer of 2010.  Just a good timing bop and, to my knowledge, our Lady really fought for it to be a single and it is a damn shame that the US radios only play her other hits.  I have not heard slay-jandro on US radio in years (and I live in a big city).

My only "complaint" is that I definitely had a expected a more literal video (beach, hunky Latinx dudes, etc) but what we got was way more symbolic and liberating/gender-queer
