I saw this tweet on my feed..

Spoiler

and it got me thinking... the name "Lady Gaga" is so iconic. Like, many artists with a stage name still use a name (Rihanna, Drake, Eminem, Post Malone, etc.) but there's just something so iconic about the name Lady Gaga. I'm sure when she first came out into the mainstream everyone was making fun of it (I was too young back then to know but there were def "goo goo ga ga" jokes). I mean... her name isn't just a name its LADY Gaga, like its just so weird but iconic :nooo:

And after Just Dance her name kept being spread around. By the time Bad Romance was released, it was cemented into everyone's brains. Like, you read Lady Gaga and you instantly think of her and yes that happens to every A-list celebrity but I just think it's iconic how people don't even question the name "Lady Gaga" anymore like it's just cemented into everyone's subconscious. Like I was looking at the news articles and it said "Lady Gaga wins her first Oscar!" like imagine being from the past and reading that headline like you would probably be like who tf has the name Lady Gaga...

And I have been thinking recently about how we praise and idolize someone with a somewhat "silly" name. But to us its iconic - we chant GAGA all the time and it sounds normal. Idk, its just like... imagine a universe where she chose the name Lady Starlight or something instead. theres just an iconic ring to Lady Gaga :sis:

Thanks for coming to my TED talk :sis:

I remembered her name "LADY GAGA" back to when she was first smashing the world with EDM and I didn't even know English that much at that time... so it's definitely iconic:firega:

Yes, and most of the pop girls names are so basic and bland in comparison. Ha it is funny because when you think about it, Lady Gaga is such a weird name but after all these years it’s cemented in our brains as just a normal name. There’s no analyzing it anymore because we are so used to it.

But yes and so glad she didn’t pick Lady Starlight. Lady Gaga is an attention grabbing name and is definitely iconic.

This. It balances both ''aspects'' of her so well. And it almost became an adjective or something! Whenever you do something crazy or eccentric people compare you to her.
