Pleaseeee I'm crossing my fingers for good visuals as well. It seems to me that after Born This Way she stopped knowing how to evolve her shtick. ARTPOP was mostly self-referential, Cheek To Cheek was showgirl/aging chanteuse drag, and Joanne obviously wasn't a visual project. She can do it, she just needs to higher the right people and have a solid vision.

I mean, she could also name it LADY and the doubleness in terms of meaning would be given. (But I prefer, of course, GAGA!) Fair enough.. 😁

It seems like after that, she forgot about music videos entirely... Remember when Gaga promoted the Perfect Illusion video as "Im just performing the song"? The editing also kinda ruins John Wayne.. it all happens too fast and you cant even take a good screenshot in half the video. But of course John Wayne is the better Joanne video still

That has camera cuts literally every 2 seconds (at least during the G.U.Y. portion) and you really lose out on all the beautiful visuals. John Wayne at least is supposed to be kind of "cracked" out. I just wish G.U.Y. had really just sat with some of the beautiful set-ups it had for a moment.

Literally a nightmare GUY is your favorite? It's one of my least least favorite. I think it's funny that she had Andy Cohen make a cameo in the music video for a song about bottoming, but to include him and the Real Housewives without having a satirical take on how dumb Bravo is was disappointing. And we've seen her "rise from the ashes" and exact revenge on men in the music videos for Paparazzi, Judas, and Bad Romance - all in a more compelling way. It think the GUY video sums up the visuals of ARTPOP era perfectly - messy but ambitious.

(Andy Cohen playing God, the housewife playing the violin wrong, the minecraft apple and body, etc) The fact she took the meaning of being a "girl under you" but still in control to the extreme, creating hundreds of g.u.y. clones. And the choreography was amazing and she looked incredible but still Gaga. It's probably the last well done Lady Gaga video. You could count John Wayne there but I don't know, I still feel G.U.Y. was the last.

I'm also not sure what "clever statements against reality television" she made, especially since she watches the Housewives and socializes with them. What do you think she was trying to say? Andy Cohen was supposed to be Zeus, and I think the Housewives were supposed to represent the Muses of ancient Greece, but what commentary about contemporary culture was there? Why were two Housewives helping her bring down "big business?"

The instagram post with her new tattoo wich appears to be related to new music shows her doing the rock n roll sign and her performance of shallow at the grammys might have been a sign of whats to come. Although I'm not sure how that would make sense given the producers who have been working with her but who knows, she has expressed her love of rock music and I believe her voice and her style would look/sound amazing with a more rock n roll sound... It would obviously still be pop but just as Joanne was pop but with clear country/folk influences maybe lg6 will be pop with clear rock/metal influences ( but that raises the question: wasnt btw like that already? so idk) if anyone remembers any other clues that might support this possibility let me know! I would LOVE this

Andy Cohen was supposed to be Zeus, and I think the Housewives were supposed to represent the Muses of ancient Greece, but what commentary about contemporary culture was there? Why were two Housewives helping her bring down "big business?" You should listen to this. Also, Gaga quote: "Really I was interested in the way that we experience icons through technology and how when you are on your phone or on the internet, Jesus, and Lisa Vanderpump, and John Lennon, and Andy Cohen, kind of all exist in the same space now," She also brought SkyDoesMinecraft as she explained "As you're watching the video, there's all these pop culture archetypes that pop up, and we resurrect some icons from the past using Minecraft.". So that adds up, in my opinion, to her theme of what's real and what's not? She played with that theme, less succesfully if you ask me, with Perfect Illusion. So I don't think she wanted to present them in a bad way but rather make a commentary about pop culture as she saw it in 2014. At least that's my interpetation. The use of greek mythology as you mentioned as well as her view on pop culture or the world in general while serving looks, choreography and incredible visuals & the obvious huge investment in shooting this music video are all of the reasons why I think this is one of her best music videos. It screams Gaga in every single way, in my opinion. And last, this video was extra as **** and I know you love that about Gaga which is why I'm even more surprised

I'm imagining some sort of fusion of dance music rock music and electronic music if that makes any sense? You and I (probably my favorite song from her, it deserved to be an all-time classic), A-yo and ManIcure vibes. I love her rock n roll vocals it's the best hearing her cover rock music and I think it would be really really interesting to see her "pop" take on it! Besides its a great mid-term between gaga the crazy popstar and gaga the renowned vocalist and songrwiter
