Yeah I don't remember the distinction but that's what I think too. I think it was in the US she outsold Madonna Also I think it's records sold (so including singles). If it's just albums I think even the US Madonna sold more Mariah had a bunch of #1 monster hits. She was bigger than Katy Perry at her prime for singles.
