I think it’s a small group of people that have very, very serious problems.” Trump called the incident “a terrible thing” and said he had not seen a manifesto, purportedly from one of the attackers, that named him as an inspiration for white identity ideology. Trump made the remarks during an Oval Office ceremony in which he vetoed legislation aimed at halting his border emergency and complained about an “invasion” of illegal immigrants over the southern U.S. border.
