The ARTPOP era was amazing for what it was, but the concept was lost and the originality didn't compare to her aesthetic and messages in the BTW era. Also, the song is a classic gay anthem that is still played a lot today. - The blue armpit hair performance at the MMVAs, the Jo Calderone VMA performance, and the Grammy BTW performances are ICONIC - The album was rated highly among many critics and it was more favored by the public than ARTPOP (Unfortunate tbh) - The fashion and red carpet entrances in this era was so unique and special (Grammy egg, Jo Calderone, Gaga's glam, rocker look) - The Madonna feud will go down in history as being iconic - The BTWB was the first tour she canceled due to health reasons and the tour was met with a lot of protests around the world... The IMPACT Gaga had was insane. Google it, there were literally protests in Malaysia, Philippines, and South Korea because of the BTWB. It just goes to show how powerful Gaga was and still is. JustAnother 5,113 Posted March 13, 2019 Share Posted March 13, 2019 BTW was just so much better of an era, 5 music videos, an accompanying EP with a sucessful thanksgiving special, multiple top 10 hits, a huge tour that actually went to Latin America, promo game on point, everything seemed to make sense and so many iconic looks and performances. Born this way the song is a recognized anthem There is an helpful association named like that The message still the core of Gaga's art A castle on stage!! And the tour was awesome Edgy and bold performances Perfect mix between pop and music from underground scene with Inspired lyrics and production The fashion and looks were on point, edgy, weird and sexy at the same time Music videos were amazing And the whole is very coherent I like ARTPOP, the performances were great, some outfits too but not at btw level.
