Borislshere 53,044
it came from rockband, idk if it's a demo or not
Bloody hooker 6,445
It sounds like it could be a mix that was close to being the final version. This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.
Ziggy 11,806
These are the original song vocals, for sure. It just lacks a bit of the echo and the backing vocals to fill it out a bit so the mix sounds different. You can tell it's the original based on certain intonations like "eyeliner and cigarettes" which have a very specific articulation to them.

Other artists have done that. One band accidentally sent a demo to Rock Band and it ended up in their final game and fans were so confused because the lyrics were different Check out iTunes data & graphs at CHARTPOP.live
Blastertoyo 22,728
The claps definitely sound different. They sound just like in that presentation where Rob explained how they made the track please enlighten me to death
Negev 75
This is a different mix of the song- not the released one. Different drum, different mastering on the synthesizer and vocals. In a way this is a demo even though it was unintentional I'm sure. This is later than the demo that was published on the "Dirty rich" promo disk- that one is an actual demo, different drums and mastering, backing vocals, additional sound effects (especially on the verses, some sort of radio noise sound) The one Rob Fusari showcased was another cut of the song... songs go through mastering and that often times changes some portions of the songs.
