That's a little unnecessary. Like, find me one song that has lyrics similar to LoveGame's. They're clever, witty and a little mysterious. I really dig those lyrics.

Meanwhile I can find you at least fifteen songs that are written exactly like SAI. Sure, doesn't mean that makes the song awful on its own but why bring something actually original into the conversation? :oprah:

Well find me those songs!

She's so cute. The UK will eat this up.

The Gaga comparisons are unnecessary. Just be a nice person and wish her all the best if you don't like her.

Don’t like it, and its not even because I am a “Gaga fan” so therefore I am “threatened.” I just don’t like basic music with basic lyrics. Maybe her next song will be good. I just wasn’t here for her first two.

She's such a misfit guys she has platinum blonde hair and uses her Beats headphones!

Also don't forget that you're bound but you are actually free! Also you're strong & weak aswell!

This is bad.

i think she’ll have greater songs that aren’t singles on her record

Hopefully. I’m not gonna listen to any singles from now on. I’m just gonna wait for the full thing.

Does it matter? Damage is done

I like the melody and I find Ava super charming, and I thinks that’s about it.

That being said, I think she’s just warming up, trying to make it into the harsh and unforgiving mess that is the pop music industry (especially if you are a woman). She’s playing it safe and that’s fine, not everybody starts with a bang out of the gate. And it would be a shame if people decided to pin her wings down this early without giving her a considerable chance.

Also, about the track’s theme, while it’s neither new nor the most complex or imaginative way of presenting it, it really doesn’t matter in this case, because I personally think that there’s never enough of that message, it cannot be saturated. Kids and teenagers, largely, keep committing suicide because other people make them feel like they don’t belong in this world. I’m sure this track will bring some solace to youngsters that possibly feel that way, and maybe even save their lives.

I admit that I detested The Cure when it came out and I still don’t find myself listening to it, but there really is a place for familiar tracks with simple/straight-forward messages.

That's exactly what I said when I first heard Poker Face, I didn't become a fan till Paparazzi

I've seen someone else say that before but what similarities do PF and BR have? PF's song structure is a lot like JD and JD bridge uses PF drums

the "oh woah oh oh woahhhh oh oh" pre chorus in PF is like the "wooooooahhhhhhhhwoooahhhooooo caught in a bad romance"

"p p p poker face" and "rah rah ah ah ah"

the spoken bridges

"mah mah mah mah" and "roma roma ma"

the verses are similar too

the instrumental and production on the "I want your love and I want your revenge I want your love I don't wanna be friends" is similar to that after the spoken bridge in PF where the chorus starts again

Oh right I get what you mean about things like that used in different places but audibly the songs don't sound the same as in if someone hears one they could mistake it for the other or BR and Judas having almost an identical song structure
