ASIB is more so Bradley's vision than it is Gaga. Gaga just so happened to be the lead actress who wrote songs for the movie. If anything, the ASIB process might have helped her write Joanne. ASIB was a bit after that. Anyway, they went almost one after another. She was asked to be in the movie spring of 2016 and I think most of the recording for Joanne happened Spring/Summer 2016 except for Angel Down and maybe a few others. She didn’t start working with BP until 2016 I belive and a lot of these recording sessions (like MR, A-YO, Hey Girl) are from summer/early fall 2016 because of her looks and face, not to meantioned the break up didn’t happen until Summer 2016 so I’m sure she wasn’t writing breakup songs before the split. The whole timeline of Joanne, Taylor, Superbowl and ASIB is messy Girl was on fire. But knowing the thumb rule of film production, she had to work on ASIB in 2017 after the SuperBowl. The pre production would have started somewhere during that time, but since they had to make way for her schedule It's tricky

Ronk 14,762
No. She'll continue to explore all of the potentials that sound interesting to her. With her diverse talent we never know what will come next. I live outside the space time continuum.

AJRocketMan 2,684
I hope not! I fell in love with her as an artist because of her incredible electronic music. Her music, her piano skills, her performances, her outfits, her music videos, her interviews, her concerts—she stood out in every way and her creative involvement in every aspect of her career made her stand out above the rest. I don’t want her to become a Sara Bareilles or a Matt Nathanson type of singer. 🤢 She was the absolute antithesis of that and I HATE those kinds of singers. Yet people think they’re “authentic” and “talented” for doing nothing but just standing in front of a microphone?! And besides, with Gaga, electronic music is her specialty. She’s most in “her element” with electronic music. With David Bowie it was rock music. For Michael Jackson it was black pop music (R&B-inspired). Madonna had white pop music (New Wave/dance inspired). Prince did funk rock and R&B/soul. Beyoncé has Contemporary R&B Pop. All of these artists only occasionally and briefly strayed from their signature musical style, but they always came back. David Bowie’s albums were always some variation of rock music, but no one told him to ditch his trademark sound. Why is it that Gaga is expected to make a complete 180 and abandon the core fanbase that had been right by her side all these years, such as when the world turned against her? It’s unreasonable, and we shouldn’t expect artists as influential as Gaga to do such extreme departures in musical style.
yes and 4,884
I think LG6 is gonna be Joanne 2.0 in its musical style but it will more dance and maybe more dark. Obviously, the success of ASIB has changed everything and she will put more ballands and kinda country/rock songs after that. And it's very good decision actually. Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No
