imnotyourbabe10 6,120
Hindsight is 2020! Here for the one who has the consistent voting record, life long social justice activism (and of course is imperfect...I'm aware of this so don't come at me). But, goodness, he is a once in a lifetime rad dude. Too often you hear the "so and so isn't radical enough...they're "problematic" or "Just vote blue" -- we are continuously polarized so I choose to support the person who embodies my beliefs and has been very stable in their ideology. (The two-party binary is a trap by the way). Btw, I do wish Clinton well. Hope she can chill and just kick it in her later years.
BuyMeEggs 48
Judging from the current pool of dems running I predict trump will get re elected. The fact that they’re endorsing the new green deal only makes their chances of winning lower as many people who know what the new green deal really entails realizes it’s not realistic and crazy to put it simply. The direction the Democratic Party is going in is turning off many people. Does anyone else have a plethora of middle aged family members who were live long Democrat’s but voted for trump because the Democratic Party of today is going too far left? Imagine whitewashing the record of a war criminal for fake woke points on a Lady Gaga forum. On this forum I have been accused of being a "white supremacist" while conversely being called "fake woke." At one point or another on this forum I've been dismissed as a "Bernie Bro," a "Trump supporter," and a "Clinton loyalist." Of course none of those things are true. People are not caricatures. Clinton included. I think you and I would agree that Obama has a deeply problematic record, yet this site does not take every opportunity available to label him a literal "devil." Correct? There is a disparity between this site's treatment of Clinton and Obama. That is what I was trying to address with my post; the ridiculous reduction of Clinton into an anti-Christ figure. Hillary was absolutely out of touch with the electorate, and I am not saying misogyny wasn't a part of it, because it absolutely was, but she was unable to recognize the populism that was rising in both the democratic party and the republican party. The democratish establishment today has even shifted their approach and their platforms by learning what Clinton had failed to. even when she tried to make up for it by pandering to young and POC voters. That is what I was trying to address with my post; the ridiculous reduction of Clinton into an anti-Christ figure. and not only that but both hillary and obama has witnessed a populist movement occurring in the democratic primary (bernie started polling at 3% nationally--virtually unknown-- and ended up gaining just under half in voting) and they decided to use their establishment resources and $ to reduce bernie sanders chances of gaining any traction. She is an intelligent woman and successful politician but both her and obama's legacies are tarnished by that fact.
