I only started stanning Gaga in early 2015, so it feels amazing to be around for her second career peak.  I really thought no one would love her like in 2009-2011 again, but I'm so happy I'm wrong.  I'm so happy to be here to witness her 4th number 1 and first in 8 years!!

honestly I'm more proud of her for this than the Oscar
the Oscar was inevitable. I never thought this could happen.

no and I don't think she will ever say something. I think she doesn't care too much about charts like she used to, but I think she's happy for it

What's so amazing is that the album and song were already successful before the Oscars. The soundtrack was #1 for 3 consecutive weeks since its debut and continued to remain in the top ten ever since and Shallow peaked at #5 and was itunes #1 for weeks on end, overtaking the amount of time Adele's Hello was at itunes #1. After all that success, you wouldn't think the Oscars could help that much more but it took it to the next level and pushed her to #1 and the soundtrack back to #1, the first soundtrack from a live action musical to achieve 4 weeks at #1 since High School Musical 2 (surprised to find that The Greatest Showman couldn't achieve that). Truly amazing. It still hasn't sunk in. To think that Gaga's had a #1 when females have been notoriously struggling lately is something that I didn't think was possible.

She did. She may not find it too important at this point, but she will still be proud if any of her music is well received.

I just can't get over how this went #1 after the SAME number of weeks as Just Dance... almost exactly 10 years later. :sis:

It's just a great song. That really all that matters. I can't wait for her next album.
