When did I say she was specifically a country artist or even the best country artist. You said everything she makes is pop music. That’s not true at all. She makes music of different genres.

It is always pop, even when she incorporates elements of other genres. It's all because of the song structures, etc. I truly wish that you'd speak Spanish, or my English were good enough to talk about this but oh well.

Here’s a couple quotes direct from You & I’s Wikipedia page

"You and I" has rock and country music influences”

“Kitty Empire of The Guardian described the song as an "umlaut-toting digital country power ballad" with two Bruce Springsteen references: "born to run" and Nebraska”

:ally:

The  country sound is perhaps the notes played by the base, imo. The instruments chosen don't sound country. She isn't scooping the vocals. There are plenty of ballads in pop and rock music, so that's not a reason to call it country. This rolling stone article refers to elements of it that are clearly rock. But this is probably a silly thing to argue about years later.

Plenty of rap, country, etc. songs that share the same structures.

I have an idea, friend, type or say all your words into Google Translate, and then click Translate to English from your spoken Spanish. We will get the idea! :sara:

She's POP, she's always been POP. Even when her music has some rock vibes, or country influences or whatever, she's totally POP. So, no.

Yes she is.

Sinner’s Prayer, You and I and at least half of ASIB are more country than country radio.

In fact, country radio sounds more pop than country and it’s been that way for a while.

Gaga isn’t just any country singer. She’s America’s best country singer for the last ten years.

Facts are facts

lol whats country about gaga's asib songs? there is nothing country at all.

I agree though that You and I is her most country songs. the melody, the lyrics. She just made it musically more rock a bit. Sinner's Prayer is also arguably country. thats it. she is not a country artist whatsoever.

What makes Gaga a country artist is the fact she has incorporated country influences throughout her entire career, from Speechless, to Born This Way (Country Road Version) to Joanne and ASIB.

Your claim that she us not country whatsoever is laughable. I can say the exact same thing about country radio. There is nothing country about it.

ASIB (half of it anyway) is country in the sense of 70s country, which was heavily influenced by blues rock.

There is no such thing as “pure country”. It always has been influenced, and in turn it has also influenced, other genres. Hence there is no such thing as a pure country artist. I would call Gaga an indie country artist because she explores the boundaries of what country is and what it could be.

What we hear on country radio is pop sung in a Southern/Western accent. Fake country.
