In fact, country radio sounds more pop than country and it’s been that way for a while. Gaga isn’t just any country singer. She’s America’s best country singer for the last ten years. ASIB (half of it anyway) is country in the sense of 70s country, which was heavily influenced by blues rock. There is no such thing as “pure country”.
