Awrah999 4,296
I just left the Encore version in Dolby at a sold out NYC theater! I loved it even better than the original. There were a few scenes that blended the narrative a bit better, especially during the songwriting/touring phase that I thought was slightly rushed in the original. I LOVED the Diggin My Grave on stage, songwriting of Clover, drunken karaoke to Midnight Special, the 3 second Chinese takeout clip with Ally&Pepper, and the zip line scene (her hitting his head with it made the whole theater burst out laughing ). The true gem of this extra footage though is clearly “Is That Alright?”—it was such an emotional part of the film and felt so genuine. Gaga’s voice gave me chills and, even though I’ve seen this film 15 times and saw the scene on my iTunes version, seeing it in the theater in the context of their wedding and vows made me cry Everyone in my theater was raving about that song afterwards! I’m going to need an official release of this encore/director’s cut because that scene alone takes this film to another level
bowlsofbrett 527
I just left the theater. I didn't think I could love the film even more than I already did. The extra footage made certain scenes feel more cohesive. I need this version of the film to be released on Blu Ray or digitally.
Bad Kids 3,055
is this version in the japanese extended version dvdv? And when you say my name, like white horses on the waves, I think it feels the same, as an ocean in my veins.

I liked all of the deleted scenes they should have included except for the scene with Ally and the counselor and maybe Jack and Marlon. Man when Ally sings ITA and Jack tears up omg!! Love the movie even more 😍

I don’t think there’s additional footage of them on the motorcycle in the encore version, so if it wasn’t in the original I would say it’s not in the encore.
