Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper's 'Shallow' Vying to Dethrone Ariana Grande's '7 Rings' From No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

"Shallow" could hit the top for the first time after its big night at the Oscars.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's "Shallow" is aiming to surge to No. 1 for the first time on next week's Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated March 9) and unseat Ariana Grande's "7 Rings," which has ruled in its first five weeks on the survey.

"Shallow," from the box office hit A Star Is Born, starring Gaga and Cooper (who also directed the film), should surge in streams and sales in the tracking week ending Feb. 28 after the pair performed the ballad and it won for best original song at the 91st Academy Awards Feb. 24.

The Hot 100 blends weekly streaming, airplay and sales data, according to Nielsen Music.

Projecting building-week data, "Shallow," released on Interscope Records, should vault from 9.6 million U.S. streams (in the week ending Feb. 21) to over 25 million and from 35,000 downloads sold to over 100,000, easily making it the top-selling song of the week. Aiding the song's projected streaming sum is the video of Gaga and Cooper's performance of it at the Oscars uploaded to her official YouTube channel.

"Shallow" will also likely increase in radio airplay after logging 26.6 million audience impressions in the tracking week ending Feb. 24.

They use her as Clickbait for every article. The LEAST they can do is gift us a typo and just crown Shallow #1

Miracle

Girl we got the #1. Even if Billboard posting this didn't mean anything (it DOES), the data they post only leads to a number one. 25M streams. Congrats icon.

I'm not gonna pretend that I don't want a #1, but I'm more than fine with a #2

If it goes to #1 then I think it might open the door for more ASIB singles and new unreleased material.

ALGAYDO

This will (hopefully) be her first no.1 single since Born This Way back in February 2011. That's crazy. The bitch deserves this.

Also, I'd think it'd be funny if Bradley Cooper scored a no.1 song. He's not even a ~real~ musical act yet already won a Grammy, something many long-time mainstream artists haven't been able to achieve. This feels like an alternate universe; one where the hot dude from The Hangover movies scored a no.1 song and a fúcking Grammy. Y'all, we're living in a simulation.

I don't believe anything till I see it. But I have a hope for this. It would be insane, I'll have to eat all the **** I've said before about her not being able to get #1 again... :cryga:
