I'm a big fan of Electronic music and on my own free time I like to listen to songs that belong to different genres. Born This Way as a whole doesn't have one distinct genre, but the two most dominant genres are Techno and Electronic Rock, with a pop song structure (verse, chorus, hook, bridge, all that stuff). What I love about Born This Way is that, while the mixing and mastering is awful (I had to manually enhance it on iTunes), it doesn't sacrifice artistry for craftsmanship. Meaning the production is more aggressive. It "goes hard" as many people call it. I absolutely love the fact that the album is so much more underground in it's sound than The Fame and The Fame Monster were! Every song is a different genre, look below.

"You and I" is very much a rock song. "Electric Chapel" is also very rock, just with a more electronic spin put on it. And there are elements of rock throughout BTW and most of her music. I love BTW so much because it can't be put in one box!

Woohoo

Industrial synthpop is the most accurate term :vegas:

"I heard if you record Gaga snoring and play it backward it sounds like an act. 2 unreleased."

It is mixed genres. Just called it experimental. Yes, that is a legit genre. Look it up.

It's pop.

Yes, it has some experimentation, but the music that comes under the Experimental genre literally is way more subversive and "experimental" than anything on Born This Way.

I hear a lot of rock elements, industrial, electro, and some late 80s pop. So I would just say it's experimental tbh.

Very much genre-fluid. It's such an eclectic record.
