I think it can only count if you are located in the US.

I had no idea this is all the sales it needed, but streams and video views are going to have to play a role as well. Please don't stop, Americans! Apart from repeat streams, keep the official video replaying on YouTube as well as any other incarnations of it, as it will all count for your chart data!

If you're in Canada, it won't count for US streams. But there's nothing wrong with helping its performance in Canada as well. I can't tell you the exact science of streaming but you'd have to replay something multiple times all day to make a real dent as one person. I don't know how many streams count as one sale but the point is to make as many streams as you can. In the US, YouTube views are also taken into consideration for the charts, that includes the official video, as well as official and non-official audio and lyric videos and any video that has the song playing in the background. Wrecking Ball famously went back to #1 for one week after a YouTuber made a viral video featuring the song.
