Mirrion Rizzons 9,964
I would have included the actual song ‘bedtime story’ but the song, while a masterpiece, flopped so there’s no point even putting it as an option so nevertheless, which of the first three singles is the most iconic in your opinion? Here are the options: 1. Secret Released: September 27th 1994 US Peak: #3 UK Peak: #5 This song is often credited as her comeback single, winning back the approval from the GP after Erotica, which was and is still arguably the most controversial pop album of all time. 2. Take A Bow Released: December 6th 1994 US Peak: #1 UK Peak: #16 ‘Take A Bow’ was the Era’s biggest single in the US, spending 7 weeks atop the hot 100 and being her first Number 1 since ‘Justify My Love’ topped the chart almost 4 years prior. 3. Human Nature (fourth single) Released: June 6th 1995 US Peak: #46 UK Peak: #8 While not directly being ‘iconic’ in its sound, nor very recognisable to the modern day GP, This Single Notably includes the popular phrase ‘express Yourself don’t repress yourself’ and is regarded as a feminist anthem due to the nature of the song discussing sexual liberation and her response to the controversy surrounding ‘Erotica’ so what will it be ladies? From most to least I’d Say take a Bow > human Nature > secret
