Bradley Cooper's Ex-Wife Responded After Backlash

Jennifer Esposito, Bradley Cooper's ex-wufe, is refusing to stay silent after receiving backlash for her Instagram commentary.

Esposito came under fire after she reacted to her ex-husband Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga‘s steamy Oscars performance. With many accusing her of mocking the pair, the NCIS actress addressed her critics.

Sharing her thoughts in an Instagram video on Tuesday, Esposito, 45, claimed that her comment on David Spade‘s post  — she wrote “Ha” after Spade jokingly asked if there was “any chance these 2 aren’t f—?” — was never meant in a negative way towards Cooper and Gaga.

“You know so many people have been commenting about something that I said which was like this: ‘Ha.’ That was it. And in the way that it has spread,” she began. “It was towards David Spade’s very outward statement about something about an ex, and I literally laughed at him because he was so bold in what he was saying.”

“I thought it was funny and I’m allowed to think something is funny,” she stated.

Promo is promo :vegas:

I would be lying if I acted like this drama isn't contributing to people talking about her and the success of Shallow.

But. Let's not get into it as fans. Let the GP deal with it.

I do feel bad for her because she really didn't do anything but laugh at a joke :rip:  That said, she's a celebrity that knows how the media works and how every little thing is going to get misconstrued, especially with a subject that's so big right now. As the ex, any comment she made was obviously going to gain traction, she really can't be shocked that people are making it out to be shady. :deadbanana:

She's thirsty and we should all ignore her. I still think what she did was incredibly sh*tty, tho. It turned a conversation from "well, look at their chemistry/intimate performance and some twitter gossip" that would have died down by today into a -thing- and made it seem far more sordid. I really think the tabloids wouldn't have necessarily gone past "hmmm" status, well at least the ones like US or E!, if she hadn't done that and I have a sinking feeling the tab covers are going to be on Gaga Wednesday because of this.

But TSwift is releasing on Saturday, so that will at least change the conversation and stories die out pretty quickly.

This whole storyline of Gaga and Bradley being soulmates is getting old fast. :huntyga:

It will die down pretty fast, at least, although Jennifer and Mel B made it more of a thing. I'm sure there will be some tabloid covers on Wednesday, but the gossip is already dying down and it will be over after that.

I mean, she knew that it would become a tabloid thing to comment on that sort of post. It's not anything bad, but why create tabloid drama for one's ex of nearly 15 years and Gaga? I'm not angry, but I think it was kind of sh*tty of her to do so and kind of "stepped" over the line because there's a difference between verified twitter comments, which came up to the line, and someone intimately involved with Gaga or Cooper, which crossed the line.

I kind of feel for her, stans commenting on her age and whatnot are so unnecessary, but the media was definitely going to blow this up because she is BCoops ex-wife. She easily could have just clicked the little heart to show her appreciation for his joke and been on her way.

We need another famous person to comment on them to keep up the promo for a Shallow repeak.  I mean, Taylor Kinney tried, but no1curr about him.

What a shame that you can be married for four whole months and then spend a lifetime being known as someone's Ex.
