Billboard rules essentially are "If a Remix attains more chartpoints than the original, the new featured artists or new co-leads will be credited for the #1". And it just happened that the Remix did more than the original. When the Remix dropped off and didn't out-do the original anymore, they removed her from the credits from that week on.
