What does silky being saved have to do with political correctness? or the double crowning?

People were complaining about how RuPaul always crowns white, blonde, skinny queens in every All Stars.

The double crowning was a last minute decision, it wasn't even filmed, the two crowning were put together.

Or also the Gia thing? After everyone called RuPaul a transphobic bc of his comments, the production called Gia for All Stars to clean his image (and it was clearly for that, she didn't do THAT bad in comparison with others, yet she got the chop)

About Silky....

Spoiler

it might be a reach, but we haven't had a big queen winning yet, and the fact she makes it to the top 4, according to spoilers, when there are stronger contenders  even with the edition she got, she keeps getting saved :green:

I don't think they would've given out $200,000 just to prove that they're not racist/biased. They could've easily given it to just Monet if they wanted to. I'm pretty sure it had more to do with them trying to bring in shock value and ratings.

The fact that you just dropped a major spoiler with no warning is a d*ck move. Not everyone reads spoilers. The only reason they kept her for so long is cause she brings the drama and theatrics. She's giving the cameras everything they want.

And not crowning a fan favorite after the AS3's mess? :lolly: the production knows what they're doing, in a certain way.

My bad :poot: but that's a good point, and that's what I said it was a reach, not a theory.

Well I know which thread to avoid in the future. :saladga: Thanks for spoiling.

I'm not getting any sleep tonight because I woke up to a beautiful life. I'm awake.

The absolute delusion to think that they crowned Monet solely to look less racist. If we're counting the last challenge, Monet clearly stomped on Trinity and their track records evens out. Monet deserved the crown and twisting it as some sort of affirmative action is gross. Sure there would've been a tiny bit of backlash if Trinity won but not enough that they'd pork out another $100k to alleviate. :rip:

I said what I said.

Also, Monique deserved Monet's spot :koons:

I'd be happy with an Yvie or Silky win.

Brooke annoys me. There's a smugness to her that I can't get behind.

The producers wanted to have two winners anyway. They thought it would’ve been Latrice and Manila (redemption from Latrilla). That’s why Latrice was saved so much from Rupaul, but ultimately couldn’t be saved anymore. And Manila is self explanatory.

Trinity was the real winner but they decided to go with the two winner idea after shooting the whole season.

At this point, I'm calling the top 4:

Yvie Oddly

Scarlet Envy

Brooke Lynne Hytes

Miss Vanjie OR Nina West

I was rooting so hard for Silky before the show because she's from Mississippi where I live, but she has just gotten on my nerves so much, and in this challenge, all of her looks were way too pretty/cutesy/sweet to meet the challenge requirements. I just need to see more from her than I'M A REALLY LOUD PAGEANT QUEEN.

Also, how do I get in the middle of a Brooke Lynne and Vanjie sandwich?  :gayhat:

Lol get ready for disappointment. Only 2 of 4 are correct.

Oh goshh I loved this ep. Living for Scarlet as usual. Brooke was good but her third look was meh to me. This season keeps growing on me!

Man just as I was fully getting on board with Scarlet, if it weren't for all these extreme saves, that would have been a double shante imo.

I found the second team to be more out of place, but they were more entertaining. (Plastique & Ra'Jah aside) Regardless, I was happy for Akeria's win.

If Akeria continues to do well I think I'll join team Akeria! Her runways are such a serve and I love her personality.

Long story short tho, I'm pretty disappointed by Scarlet's elimination. Her monster runway sold me. It would be interesting to see both Scarlet & Blair on an All Stars season together. :ally:

Brainiac

I don't understand how anyone could watch that lip sync and think that Rajah won it. I was so certain Scarlet would stay...like what?!?
