I’d be here for Electric Chapel type beats tbh. The PC music thing seemed like she was jumping on a future trend

I just don't get why some fans act like it is a disaster of epic proportions. Artists often don't stick to the exact same sound, and she never has. She's always been eclectic with her music, and she's hardly the first artist to scrap and change. She ain't Adele with a consistent sound. I don't think that makes her a sell out or selfish to the fans.

Also, Rih scrapped a whole album; Bey allegedly recorded over a 100 songs for her last two albums; Adele scrapped numerous rumored duets and several of the tracks she did with Bruno Mars and only kept one; and so on. Just because she may not be working with the same producer doesn't mean the album's never coming out, and if she's sticking with BloodPop it's going to be a lot of the pop that the fans complaining about want anyway. I feel like people —blame— BloodPop for Perfect Illusion, but Mark Ronson had more of an impact on those tracks imo and I ssrly think the problem with PI was the lyrics, not the production. I love her, but lyrically it was definitely one of her weakest songs.

Furthermore, it's not atypical for a singer to wait two to three years to put out an album and all signs point towards it coming out this year even if it is November. When she does so, she will have put out two albums (ASIB and L6) within three years from Joanne's release date. Adele takes three years or more, Taylor took three years between 1989 and Reputation, Rihanna's next album will be three years, and so on.

Taylor's next album is likely dropping in April, and will eat up that month and the new few months.  But HDD has some cred, and if they say the album is getting dropped this year chances are it probably is....so I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out in late Q3/Q4.

I think I have not reached the senior to post or create a thread but I will as soon as I am able to.

Taylor has changed dramatically over the years.

You lose some fans, you pick some up along the way.

If you aren’t interested anymore, move on to someone who stays the same. They will be hard to find, but I’m sure we can come up with a few examples. I can come up with more artists who have changed over the years. It’s normal and natural, especially for true artists and ones that write their own songs.

BTW and ARTPOP didn't win Grammys and C2C and Joanne snd Shallow did. She's ditching electropop forever. :huntyga:

TF and TFM eras won Grammys

Well the same could be said to Joanne fans who would not stand her to make a PC music on next album

Gaga is always evolving she won't make another TFM like she won't do another Joanne

Some Joanne fans always make me laugh, they are always here to say 'Gaga is evolving she doesn't need do make the same dance sounds'.

But they are absolutely against Gaga to expriment a totally new direction with modular techno pop music. You should be happy Gaga is heading to new fields, right ? Unless you just want her to just push the same album she did 3 years ago

I'm fine with any of Gaga's sounds. But I also feel like some people who are against her doing Joanne 2.0 want her to do ARTPOP 2.0 or vice versa, instead of just going "hey, tons of artists experiment and are eclectic and it doesn't make her a sell out/beholden to "true" music."

Personally, I doubt she'll do either Joanne 2.0 or ARTPOP 2.0. If she was trying to "stay" in her Joanne persona, I don't see that type of Grammy Performance or Enigma.  And there's been signs she wasn't happy with ARTPOP.

She is not EVOLVING she is SWITCHING the sound. Evolving would be if she kept that Eurodance sound she came with, but took it on a whole another level. She did not do that. She just switched.

So she should keep on switching imo

I just don't remember an official announcement that's why

I mean I know it was released in Italy and UK I think but I didn't know if it was a world wide release

ARUTW is officially being pushed as a single in Italy, France, Sweden, Austria, NZ and maybe even more countries. So basically many countries were Shallow did exceptionally good in the charts and on the radio....

Yeah...and that was my point. As a fan, you either move with an artist or you move on. Som3 come back, some don’t. Some new fans join in. That’s the way it goes.

I predicted this like last two years ago, so I'm not even surprised or disappointed. And she's definitely putting out a heavy metal album sooner or later

"ARTPOP's little sister" always gave me such pause. :duck: I felt like that phrase conjured up messy Grimes-like aesthetics (and Enigma's imagery) and chorusless PC music. That all probably sounds like heaven to many here.

I mean, ARTPOP, besides Swine, all had Choruses tho. She is still a pop artist, even when she experiments with popless genres.

Either way, I dont care what LG6 sounds like, I just want new music thats hers, and not a soundtrack. (Not that I havent had ASIB on repeat for 4 months now)
