hmm I love you sis, but your opinion was different at the Virginia governor threads about the blackface photo of 35 years ago.. and I don't see a big different, both are bad actions.. but too late to judge and punish over them, both did a big progress and did many good things after that..

Can we just admit that we needs to stop judging politicians and people about their old actions and judge them by their recent actions? what happened in the past, happened. especially when we know that the "sudden uncover" is pretty much targeted.. they had 40 years to uncover them, why now?

Difference is Virginia governor’s response was a mess. He came out and said it was him, then said it wasn’t. All while many Dems. where calling for his resignation, so were his constituents. 

I said due to optics he should resign. 

Bernie addressed his comments, didn’t deny them. He explained his position. No one called him to resign. 

I don’t think either of them are bad people.

Sorry to jump in, sis, but you have NOT made some points. 

The Virginia governor did not just make an out-of-character statement. He performed in blackface (he admitted to this). 

In addition, the Virginia governor changed his story overnight which all but proves he was lying. 

And lastly, this Virginia governor is a man that could not identify himself in a photo that included a person in blackface and a person in KKK costume... But he was convinced that one of the people in the photo was him. That tells me that this governor has not only been in blackface, but also in a KKK costume. If you've never been in a KKK costume, you would automatically rule that out. But he couldn't. 

The governor from Virginia's actions and Bernie's actions are so unequal and unparallel that your comparison is laughable.

I hope he gets dragged enough that we end up getting Kamala as the Democratic primary... I know that's terrible to wish upon someone.

Yeah, Bernie has plenty of baggage, but voters and media just glanced at it (if they did that) and moved on since the primary was basically over on Super Tuesday. 

This time, he’s going in as the favorite. I expect to see the GOP/Russian/NRA machine go full force on him like they did on Hillary.

Americans are truly scared of everything that goes beyond slightly left-leaning center. These were 80s declarations, which he's already explained. Don't use them as an excuse to override his progressive agenda. 

If you think Americans as in only white European Americans are scared of Communism, remember that the biggest anti-communist communities of US immigrants are from Cuba, Venezuala, China, Vietnam, old Soviet etc, those who escaped Communist regimes in their homeland. These people belong to Trump if a Socialist candidate represents the Left. 

And yeah I know Socialism and Communism aren’t entirely the same thing, but once you got bitten by a snake, anything that remotely resembles the snake, not even the thing itself, will trigger you. 

These videos, along with the Venezualan crisis, really are not helping Bernie’s case.
