Just truly looked into this case. I'd only heard bits and pieces before because it's not a big story in my country but I'd just blindly believed it was true at the time and moved on, not looking at any of the evidence. Now this all came out, I have been watching the interview he did at the time and I am astounded at the arrogance he projects. For someone who had apparently had something so awful happen to him, he is smiling far too much, even when he is saying something shocking. Notice the flashes of anger in his eyes too, ironically when he talks about how annoyed he is about fearmongers (what a case of self-loathing that must be). He keeps on repeating stuff about truth as well. He is filled with self-congratulation as he tries to project an air of sympathy for himself, hoping that others will too. He wants to be seen as an sympathy icon among the left and be held up as an example of the promising face of America. It's all about him and how he wants sympathy. You may also notice how Robin's face is...weirdly suspicious throughout. I don't know if I'm just imagining this but it's like she's wearing a face of doubt. Someone in the comments says that "she's looking at him like he's her teenage son who's told her he doesn't smoke but she's already found the weed in his sock drawer." That's totally how I interpreted it too. Watch his interview and see how creepy his words are now and how chilling his smiles are. His gritted teeth at 10:37 and purr of his voice gave me chills:

You can see what a manipulative web he's woven. I won't say he's a sociopath for definite but he definitely could be one. If he's doing this for more money and glory, chances are, he is one. He doesn't care if an innocent person went to jail because of his lies. He's so charming from what I can see here. He's a poster case for sociopathy.

Arm yourself with the facts. Don't let yourself be manipulated. It's not right to automatically disbelieve someone...but it's not unreasonable to ask questions if you think there's something odd going on and you get that gut feeling.

Now, I don't like to label myself "anti SJW" as it sounds very antagonistic and I don't like to label myself overly so, let's make that clear. I'm for social justice, but I'm not supportive of SJWs, who tend to be whiners who don't actually do anything to help anyone and just live off the concept of being offended. I want to end suffering of minority groups but not through being a whiner.

But what you're saying is quite right. This is exactly the kind of behaviour that I'm talking about when I saw that SJW ideology can be dangerous when it gets extreme. So extreme that you'd lie about things to make the world seem worse off than it really is. The left go on so much about right-wing fearmongering (and they're right) but they forget that they do the same from a liberal standpoint. This is an extreme example of what happens when you want to push a political agenda that far. Some liberals say that there is no such thing as being "too liberal" and I say different. Extremes are never healthy.

There has to be more to this than that. In what world is doing this logical with regards to receiving a pay increase? Now you can definitely kiss your salary goodbye. He must be seriously deranged or a sociopath in order to do something like this. He really needs a refund of his $3500 because this was a hot mess from the get go.

It’s about exposure. He would get a large amount of sumpathy- he would have been seen as a survivor/hero- get lots of interviews- causing him to be a bigger star. Being a bigger star would make more companies want to have them in their shows/movies/broadway etc. 

 

The dumb part is hiring the guys and thinking it would actually work.
