Um, are they getting gunned down in their homes? Are they being escorted into camps? Are they forced to live a certain way under their will? No. I think us Americans have it pretty lucky compared to many people in other countries who have a real homosexuality problem.

There has been a systematic removal of rights over the last two years. People may not being thrown from buildings, but parents can still send their kids to conversion inpatient therapy in 35 states. LGBT can still get fired or denied housing in the majority of states. We still have a ways to go in the US.

I would support this...... BUT Didn't he try to ban Transgender individuals and tried to reverse the gay marriage law that obama passed. He says one thing and does another. But yet he promised to protect LGBT Rights 🤔🤔. This seems like a voter ploy to secure The LGBT Vote.....

^ He's not saying one thing and doing another.  He's against transgenders serving in the military, and at the same time he opposes gays being slaughtered to death on the other side of the world.  It is possible for a person to feel both things.  Also, Trump never tried to reverse gay marriage.

Trump didn't do this. Trump has nothing to do with this. This is being run by the US ambassador in Germany who himself is openly gay. He is who cares about LGBT lives, not the president.

The article makes vague statement like "Trump Administration" just because this ambassador falls under that, and Trump is the president.

Those are completely different things!! When you are a transgender you are going through a slew of surgeries and taking medication! NO ONE should be allowed to serve when that is going on. They allowed people who already transitioned and are fine to serve. If someone serving in the military had to get a heart transplant and take medication for a year I can guarantee they would not let them serve during that time. Which is the same for a transgender. The military is not a ****ing regular job its life and death. No one who is weak from surgeries or on **** should be in the way of that, its just common sense.

Trump is the one that nominated him to be the ambassador to Germany in 2017.

What.. Trump appointed him and he is literally first ever openly highest ranking gay man in any republican administration. Trump does not discriminate. He chooses people mostly based on his thoughts on how well they will get the job done.

This!

Also Republicans in general are not as warm towards LGBT as Democrats and then in situations like the bakery situation with the wedding cake for the lesbian couple don't wanna make laws forcing those opposed to not discriminate

But I also think many on this site blow the republican threat against gays out of proportion. They make it sound like they are out to get them in their sleep

PS: Not saying Republicans have a good view on the issue tho. I just think it's exaggerated

It may not be full support like Democrats but the US isn't in a Uganda situation either, by some ppls dramatic posts like (fearing for our lives) ud think the government was trying to kill u :rip:
