I am watching "Afterbirth" currently (the last episode of the season). I'm understanding that the ghosts are only seen now when they want to be. She thought Tate saved her, but she ended up dying. Tate lied to her to protect her. He didn't notice, until a later point that she could not leave the house due to her death. The house is essentially sitting on top of a portal to hell (confirmed in a later season)The negative energy from within is what binds the spirits to the house. Though they can interact with the living, they can never age or die. Constance is taking advantage of this because this allows her to see her children that died in the house, such as Tate. Did you miss the part where he revealed that she died, and showed her her own body and she was shocked? Her parents were terribly neglectful and too caught up in their own problems to even notice she wasn't going to school. Also the murder house exacerbates the problems between people who live there, so they were basically just living in a haze of their own issues anyway. But having it all come together wasn't working for me. I don't watch things like this often. Thanks for the explanation though! That one is less fantasy per say but it is obviously a hyper-psychological thriller...hence the name ASYLUM. They aren’t chronological so this one is a new story.* If you are a Gaga fan you will really enjoy Hotel and that story is definitely easier to keep track of.
